Family Reunion in Nebraska

Josh's mom's family, the Teafords, got together to celebrate Grandma T's upcoming 90th birthday. She had 5 children- Josh's mom is the youngest. Each of her kid's family got their own color of t-shirt. The Udells were brown.

The Omaha Zoo has been rated as the second best zoo in America. So since we were headed to Omaha, we had to make a visit. The aquarium was probably our favorite as you can see.

For those of you who know me or have been to my apartment, you know I have had an interest and love of Chinese language and culture for 7 years now. Last night, I watched the opening ceremonies and was in awe of the presentation they gave. I really wanted to post a link to this thing they did with hundreds of guys under boxes. My father-in-law and I went back and forth debating, "That has to be done by computers. How are they doing that?" Then at the end the men pop out the top of the boxes. I haven't found it on Youtube yet, but if you haven't seen it, you need to.

Over the weekend, Jesse and I attended my Great Aunt Betty's 80th Birthday Party/Family Reunion. From Grandma Judah's side of the family, Uncle Mike, Aunt Wanda, Shelley, Steph, Matthew, Kirsten, and Jesse and I made it. We were missing Jay, Lisa Nathan, and Josh. It felt awkward not knowing all of your family there. We haven't had a big get together in about 15-20 years. It was lots of laughs though.

Today is Jesse's first Fourth of July. Jesse is like most babies, not too fond of loud bangs and noises. We will wait until he's a little older to try the big fireworks show. For now, the small colorful fountains are great entertainment for him.
